For Montana, I have been writing a chapter a day. It usually ends up around 900 words or so. Then I go back and see if need to flush out the chapter more. This usually results in a chapter being 1000 – 1200 words. That is pretty much where I want each chapter to be. If I have time, I go back to previous chapters for additional editing.
Yesterday I sat down to write what I thought was going to be a difficult chapter. While writing it, I really got into it. When I finished it, 4 hours later, it was 2300 words. I spent another 2 hours whittling it down to about 2150. It is a fun chapter and I am looking forward to Monday to see what happens next.
I set up the pool this morning. It will take 6 – 8 hours to fill, but I won’t beable to hook up the filter until tomorrow morning. The kids are complaining they can’t swim until tomorrow evening.
