For my Leadership in the 21st Century class at Northern Arizona University, the textbook is Lead from the Heart by Mark Crowley. It is a solid read for anyone in a leadership position or anyone aspiring to be a leader. I met the author last semester and was impressed with him. He has a keen mind.
I finished reading The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling. It was an interesting read. In the beginning it was difficult to follow with such a large group of characters, but at the end I was rooting for certain characters.
I am about halfway through The Magnificent Seven by David Roth. I have a vested interest in the book as my children are two of the Magnificent Seven. As of yet, the first chapter was difficult to read. Subsequent chapters were fun and easy to read. I am looking forward to finishing the book. It is a cute story and I like the way David weaves the stories together.
The book I am looking forward to the most is Supervolcano: All Fall Down by Harry Turtledove. It came out last Tuesday, but I haven’t the funds to purchase it with the crazy holiday. I gotta say, $12 for an ebook is just too expensive. I don’t know how much of that is the author and how much is the publisher.
